NAFA’s annual festival takes place in a different country every year. We were in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2023 and in 2022 we were in a small Hungarian village called Csehétfalva / Cehetel, in Transylvania, Romania.
The festivals tend to be small and cozy in scale, with a wonderful diversity of films and people in attendance. This year we welcome you with open arms to Kabelvåg in Norway. Kabelvåg is located on the southern shore of the island of Austvågøya in the archipelago of Lofoten. The small picturesque village has a population of about 1,883 (2018) and a film school!
The film art school in Kabelvåg works as part of UiT: Arctic University of Norway and offers courses for students with ‘the desire, initiative and determination to create and influence the world through moving images.’ https://filmkunstskolen.no/
